March

With the weather turning a bit warmer and the days getting a bit longer, your Tech-Free Tuesday options just opened up! Sunny day? Grab a jacket and head out for some fresh air at the park. When things are a bit chillier, stay in and read or chronicle Life’s Best moments together!

Get Active

When the weather’s nice, it’s easy to head to the park for some active time together outside. Play a friendly game of H-O-R-S-E at the basketball court, or get excited for baseball season by playing catch.

No park? No problem! If it’s still too chilly or rainy to head out, local sports clubs offer great options for family activities – play some doubles tennis, hit up the batting cages, splash around in the indoor pool or navigate the climbing wall together.

Read Together

Turning off the TV doesn’t mean turning off the entertainment. There are a ton of great books that both kids and adults will enjoy reading out loud to each other. Take turns each Tuesday, each chapter or even each page – mix it up however your family likes. Start at the beginning of a series and make it a goal to read the whole series together!

Some ideas for book series to read aloud together:

  • The Chronicles of Narnia
  • The Harry Potter series
  • Diary of a Wimpy Kid series
  • Percy Jackson & the Olympians series
  • Nancy Drew mysteries
  • If You Give a Mouse a Cookies series
